D’abord produit au Danemark, conditionné à plat dans des emballages, le produit attire l’attention de deux importateurs des Pays-Bas qui fondent la société Monty en hommage au Maréchal Montgomery.

Avec l'émergence des marques et le développement d’une bonne stratégie marketing, la commercialisation du chewing gum au Bénélux et au Royaume-Uni inonda les foyers de pâte à mâcher tout en y associant l’imagerie de l’industrie Pop des années 60 et 70, et ce jusque dans les années 80’s.
